Facilities
The school campus offers a learner-friendly environment with a fine blend of functionality and aesthetics.. CCTV surveillance system, wide corridors and stairwells, fire prevention system, and deployment of security personnel are among the several safety and security measures taken by the School to ensure a safe campus
environment. All facilities in the school are IT-enabled, with a provision for broadband connectivity and conducting virtual classes.
The spacious and well-ventilated classrooms with natural light provide a conducive environment for learning The Wi Fi enabled infrastructure comprises of
well-ventilated classrooms with Interactive Boards linked to the school server where teachers integrate technology into the learning .These interactive
boards help the students understand the concepts through video clippings, 3D diagrams and simulated experiments. Animated pictorial representation
helps the teachers to explain with ease difficult concepts to the students.
The school has spacious, well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Science Laboratories. Models, Specimens, Displays, Charts, Learning Kits,
Audio-Visual Equipment, etc. help teachers demonstrate, validate and establish various phenomena,facilitate children verify theories enhance the scientific
temperament, and relate to fundamental principles and concepts.
The Mathematics Laboratory has a variety of concept-specific learning kits, manipulatives, charts, games, puzzles, patterns, etc., to initiate children into
logical thinking, reasoning, analysing and inferring; thus building concepts from abstract to concrete. The use of these resources to teach mathematics
helps children to relate patterns, discover properties and internalise concepts.
The school has two a Computer Laboratories .All computers have the required configuration and software to support children’s learning and the effective
delivery of the curriculum. The computer labs provide an individual workstation for every child.
The school has a library where books span time, space, culture and genre,here conscious efforts are made to teach the reading habit and develop
communication skills . The well-resourced, School Library creates an inviting ambience for the young readers. The library has a vast collection of books that
include fiction, non-fiction, biographies, encyclopaedias, storybooks, picture books, dictionaries and reference books on various subjects. The libraries have
a large number of journals, periodicals, magazines and newspapers, as well as digital resources.
The bandwidth that goes beyond academics and extends to achieving holistic growth is the Multi Media Hall to aid to the process of learning for educational
conferences and Performing arts, an Art and Activity Room to provide activity-based experience and to showcase the creative flair of the students. The
Multimedia Hall is used for organising various activities such as guest lectures and panel discussions, debates and elocutions, quizzes and recitations,
workshops and presentations, meetings and orientation programmes, etc.
The Music Room has a variety of musical instruments to learn Western Music and Indian Music – both instrumental and vocal. The Dance Studio provides a
smooth performance space that facilitates students to explore various dance forms including classical, western, contemporary, and folk. The Music Lab and
Dance Studio cater to the development of the aesthetic senses and cultural awareness.
The Art Room is a spacious facility, with a dedicated workshop space, designed to spark the imagination of young students and motivate them to use
various mediums and shape their creativity through different forms of art like paper art, craft, clay moulding, wood carving, metal embossing, mural making
by recycling waste, sketching and drawing, and painting on glass, fabric, canvas, earthenware, wood, bamboo and other surfaces.
The Kids Zone is a separate exclusive outdoor safe play area with space devoted to the tiny tots of the Pre- Primary section. It have their, with age-
appropriate, and colourful play equipment, which facilitates the development of motor skills in students.
The school has a well-laid, playground, a multipurpose court and an indoor sports complex. The Sports Field and State of Art Indoor Games Room facilitate
physical fitness. In an essence, disciplines offered are Badminton, Basketball, Athletics, Football, Cricket , Throw Ball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis,
Volleyball, cycling, indoor games like table tennis, chess, carrom, etc. Apart from organising regular Physical Education classes, these facilities are used for
providing specialised coaching to students in various sports and games. All sports disciplines are given equal importance and are played with great
enthusiasm under the guidance of specialised coaches.
Ensemble -The School Bagpiper Band comprises of Pipers and Drummers forms an essential part of various events and leads the marching contingents at
the Annual Sports Meets and the Investiture Ceremonies.
The school has a well-maintained, dedicated fleet of buses with the required safety measures that include CCTV surveillance, first aid kit, fire extinguishers,
seat belts, and communication facility. The bus crew undergo regular training programmes on road safety, safe driving, student safety, first aid, health and hygiene, punctuality, communication skills, etc.
The student body of boys and girls is divided into four Houses viz. Emerald House, Ruby House, Sapphire House and Topaz House.
A variety of activities are offered as an integral part of the curriculum to provide each student an opportunity to develop a wholesome personality. Inter
House, Intra Class competitions ensure the students imbibe a healthy, competitive spirit and loyalty to their respective houses or classes. Debates,
dramatics, singing, elocution, math wizard, Spelling Bee, creative writing and team games like Football, Cricket, Basket Ball and Throw Ball are some of the
activities that students can participate in.
We have designed our school assembly in a manner where students are given exposure to the ethics and values required to be responsible citizens of our
country. Students and teachers share motivational stories and information based on life skills.
The canteen and bakery provides children to buy nutritious and healthy snacks at competitive prices during the school day.
An RO Plant Purified cold and warm filtered water to the students.

Clubs and programmes like the Interact Club, the Adventure Club, the Scouts and Guides, The Cycling Club ,Literary Club , Symphony the School Orchestra
which also includes the School Choir are available to the students to nurture their love for nature, adventure, and to serve the less fortunate.
At St. John’s School we trust in evolving social responsibility through competitive programs and also through community service. Not just do we learn to
comprehend and appreciate distinctions but also learn to create a distinction for those less lucky than ourselves. Community services are a natural
expansion of school activities.
Students spend time with elder people; teach the underprivileged street kids different skills that will assist them to become independent. Kids organize
charitable activities by creating products out of the recycled item, among others for different comfort communities Our teaching faculty, a blend of
experience and youth, bear a deep-rooted commitment and faith in positive interactive teaching methods that impact the academic and the intellectual
nourishment of the students. They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classroom, and are dedicated to teaching and student success which

2 hostel blocks –1 for senior boys, 1 for junior boys with Hostel Wardens living in the campus providing round the clock supervision. The hostel rooms are
Well Furnished AC Rooms providing accommodation with individual beds, study table, chair and wardrobe. Each room has attached Washrooms / Toilets .
Accommodation is provided keeping in view class, age and other relevant factors of the student to ensure his comfortable stay in the hostel. The hostel
provides state of the art well furnished, spacious rooms on twin sharing basis.
The school has a well-equipped kitchen with latest gadgets and is designed to maintain perfect hygiene and cleanliness where planned vegetarian menus
for nutritious, palatable, hygienic and balanced diet are prepared. Delicious snacks and meals are served in the spacious dining hall which maintains clean
and hygienic environment.
The accommodation for boarders includes air conditioned dormitories and rooms and well equipped bathrooms with hot water facility. Laundry services
are provided.
The boarders have access to the indoor games room and the extensive sports grounds and for badminton, cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, cycling,
athletics etc.
Students who require extra academic help can avail tutoring after school. Newspapers, magazines and are also provided for educational
purposes. Entertainment areas are also available for the boarders.
A dedicated boarding house staff looks after all the daily requirements of the children and aids in their overall development and growth. The Boarding
House facility is available for boys.
